The first years
In the early years of the 21st century, the IT market in Vietnam was still in its conception. The number of providers for IT network infrastructure products/solutions was only a handful. The market’s demand, at the time, was also elementary: They only needed devices and systems that could run properly. Users did not require professional and secured network infrastructures (both physical and system security). Therefore, network security threats were commonly. Each time an error occurred, businesses had to cease their operation to take care of the problem. Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) were long due to the fact that the systems were not installed and organized according to standards.
The demand for standard products organizing and protecting IT infrastructure equipment (cabinets containing IT equipment - racks) was increasing; that have gradually become an integral part in the installation and use of the network. Enterprises often had to spend huge amounts of money to import expensive dedicated cabinets for data centers or use patchy and non-standard racks.
NSP, at the time, acting as a provider for structured cabling system of the AMP Netconnect brand, which was the largest cable brand in Vietnam at the time, sought out an opportunity and took it. Vietrack, with its mission to mainstream rack cabinets to contain IT equipment based on standards in Vietnam, was founded in 2001.
Maturing for the customers
In the first years, racks and cabinets from Vietrack were popular and commonly used among many other small and medium equipment rooms throughout Vietnam. From the initial equipment-organizing IT cabinets, Vietrack never ceased researching and developing newer products such as wall-mounted enclosures, open racks, ETSI enclosures, etc.
All Vietrack products are developed and produced according to the EIA-310 standards imposed by the Electronic Industries Alliance, and are compatible with most related industrial standards in the world, such as IEC-, DIN-, EN-, etc. Therefore, Vietrack products are compatible with all IT equipment in customers’ systems.
In 2008, NSP’s leadership decided to invest its share in a production plant to standardize the manufacturing chain and to better control Vietrack’s quality. Within the same year, Vietrack introduced a new product line, which were server cabinets specialized for use in high-powered server rooms and data centers.
The new steps
Since the later-half of 2016, Vietrack has started selecting original equipment manufacturers (OEM) as its strategic production partners from countries within ASIA. Particularly, the primary partners in Thailand specialize in producing server racks, cabling cabinets, open racks and accessories, accounting for about 73% of the commercial value. The other partners, in China, specialize in producing wall-mounted enclosures, accessories for installing equipment, and power distribution bars.
Before NSP delivers the blueprint and provides the production licenses, all plants are thoroughly inspected from manufacturing to quality control both inside and out, making sure that all Vietrack-produced goods from any plants are compatible standards and have equal quality.
Breaking out to develop
In early 2018, Vietrack officially adopted a new brand identity. The product system is also improved to maximize value for customers. By 2020, NSP is expected to operate a new production plant of Vietrack, located in Hiep Phuoc industrial zone, Nha Be district, HCMC. The factory is newly invested with a specialized machinery system for 19-inch standard racks, applying the most advanced technology and processes to meet the increasing demands of the market.
After the new factory comes officially into operation, Vietrack will be able to provide a comprehensive solution in the field of organizing IT system infrastructure for customers in Vietnam. A new era will also be opened, that businesses can easily access IT equipment cabinets manufactured according to the standards and their quality is not inferior than other famous brands in the world.
From the cabinets placed in the hidden corners of modern offices, Vietrack cabinets have been constantly upgraded by NSP, both in terms of features and aesthetics so that many businesses now use cabinets as high quality branded components for their IT systems.
Having gone through a long process of development, Vietrack is constantly a quiet pioneer to help the domestic IT infrastructure market more and more in reaching toward regionally and globally.
